Terms of Service

Effective March 1, 2026 · Last updated August 31, 2026

These Terms govern use of Argo, a service of 42gen Co. d/b/a Argo. Please read them before creating an account or uploading information.

1. Agreement

By accessing or using Argo, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Usage Policy. If you use Argo for a company or client, you represent that you have authority to do so and permission to upload the information you provide.

2. The service

Argo helps organize home, property, transaction, document, inventory, maintenance, and project information. Features may analyze files, suggest planning ranges, identify possible risks, draft communications, and help users compare decisions. We may improve, add, limit, or discontinue features.

3. Accounts and access

You must provide accurate registration information, protect your credentials, and promptly tell us about unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account. Access to a Home or transaction may be shared through roles; you may only access information you are authorized to use.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of content you upload. You grant Argo a limited license to host, process, reproduce, transform, and display it as needed to provide and secure the service. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload and process that content, including client and property records.

Do not upload unlawful content, malware, secrets belonging to another service, or information you are not authorized to possess. You control whether generated drafts or shared records are sent to another person.

5. Plans, fees, and third-party services

Some features may require a paid plan or incur third-party processing charges. Applicable prices, renewal terms, and cancellation rules will be shown before purchase. External services, data sources, providers, or marketplaces have their own terms and availability.

6. Important limits

Argo provides organizational and planning assistance. Outputs may be incomplete or incorrect and are not a substitute for a licensed inspector, engineer, contractor, attorney, insurance professional, financial advisor, appraiser, or other qualified expert. Verify material facts, costs, deadlines, contract language, and safety issues before acting.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Argo disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, failed negotiations, or reliance on generated output. Aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of amounts paid for the service in the prior twelve months or $100, except where law does not allow that limit.

7. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or terminate access for material violations, security threats, nonpayment, legal requirements, or conduct that risks harm to users or the service. You may stop using Argo and may request account deletion through Settings, subject to legal retention and records still owned by another authorized Home member.

8. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Massachusetts law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, each party agrees to send written notice and try in good faith to resolve it informally for 30 days. Any arbitration or court provisions required for a paid plan will be presented with that plan and apply only where legally enforceable.
